ABOUT
The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. We believe all students should be held to these principles that will help build a well-rounded student. Based off of these principles, we aim to reward distinguished students who make an impact in their community and their academics.
Character
NHS students uphold principles of morality and ethics, is cooperative, demonstrates high standards of honesty and reliability, shows courtesy, concern, and respect for others.
Leadership
NHS students are leaders who are resourceful, good problem solvers, promoters of school activities, idea-contributors, dependable, and persons who exemplify positive attitudes about life.
Scholarship
NHS students have and will maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 (weighted) or higher.
Service
NHS students voluntarily contribute to his or her school and community, done without compensation and with a positive, courteous, and enthusiastic spirit.
